Embark on an extraordinary journey through the timeless wonders of Egypt with a 7-night Dahabeeya Nile cruise, starting with a flight from France to Luxor. From the moment you arrive, you’ll be warmly welcomed and taken to your elegant Dahabeeya, a traditional Nile sailing vessel that combines comfort with authenticity. Your adventure begins with explorations in Luxor, home to the legendary Valley of the Kings and the iconic Colossi of Memnon, before sailing south through the Esna lock. Each day, the calm rhythm of the Nile deepens your connection to Egypt’s pharaonic past, blending visits to majestic temples with the peacefulness of life on board.
As the cruise goes on, history and mythology come to life at every stop. At El Kaab and Edfu, you’ll explore the grandeur of Horus’ Temple before enjoying a magical night docked on a quiet island under a sky full of stars. The cruise continues toward Gebel Silsileh, the ancient sandstone quarry that provided the stones for Egypt’s temples. Next are the dual sanctuaries of Kom Ombo, dedicated to the falcon-headed Haroeris and the crocodile god Sobek. Aswan features a captivating mix of spiritual devotion and natural beauty. You will see the Temple of Philae, dedicated to Isis, and enjoy a traditional felucca ride along Elephantine Island. An optional trip to the monumental Abu Simbel adds even more depth to your experience.
The return journey is just as rewarding. You travel back north to Luxor, where the grandeur of Karnak and Luxor temples awaits. Walking through colossal halls, avenues of sphinxes, and sacred lakes, you’ll feel the pulse of ancient celebrations like the Opet Festival. Each evening, the Dahabeeya provides a gentle retreat, with all meals included and restful nights as the Nile flows quietly. Finally, after an unforgettable journey through Egypt’s history, mythology, and landscapes, your trip concludes with a return flight to France. You will leave with memories of a journey that combines cultural exploration with serene river sailing.
