Itinerary

Day 1: Arrival to Cairo

• Meet at the airport, complete registration and boarding procedures.
• Depart for Cairo.
• Arrival in Cairo, meet your guide and transfer to the hotel.
• Dinner (onboard or at the hotel) and overnight at the hotel.

Day 2: Cairo

• Breakfast at the hotel.
• Visit the Saqqara Necropolis, home to the Step Pyramid and Pyramid Texts.
• Lunch near the pyramids.
• Visit the Giza Plateau to see the Great Pyramids of Khufu, Khafre, and Menkaure, and the Sphinx.
• Dinner and overnight at the hotel.

Day 3: Cairo

• Breakfast at the hotel.
• Visit the Egyptian Museum with its 250,000 artifacts, including the treasures of Tutankhamun.
• Lunch.
• Afternoon tour of the city: visit the Citadel, the Mosque of Muhammad Ali, and the vibrant Khan El Khalili bazaar.
• Dinner and overnight at the hotel.

Day 4: Cairo to Luxor

• Breakfast at the hotel.
• Transfer to the airport for a flight to Luxor.
• Upon arrival, transfer to the Nile cruise ship and settle in.
• Visit the Temples of Karnak and Luxor.
• Lunch on board.
• Evening activities: camel ride and a visit to a local village on the West Bank, and a carriage ride through the vegetable market on the East Bank.
• Dinner and overnight on board.
• Optional Sound and Light show at Karnak.

Day 5: Luxor / Esna / Edfu

• Breakfast on board.
• Cross the Nile to visit the Valley of the Kings, the Temple of Hatshepsut, and the Colossi of Memnon.
• Lunch on board.
• Sail to Edfu, passing through the Esna Lock.
• Free time on board.
• Dinner and overnight on board.

Day 6: Edfu / Kom Ombo / Aswan

• Breakfast on board.
• Visit the Temple of Horus in Edfu.
• Lunch on board.
• Sail to Kom Ombo and visit the temple dedicated to Haroeris and Sobek.
• Continue sailing to Aswan.
• Dinner and overnight on board.

Day 7: Aswan

• Breakfast on board.
• Visit the Aswan High Dam and the Temple of Philae.
• Lunch on board.
• Motorboat trip around the Nile islands and a visit to the Aswan souk.
• Dinner and overnight on board.
• Optional Sound and Light show at Philae.

Day 8: Aswan / Abu Simbel / Cairo

• Breakfast on board.
• Early morning bus trip to Abu Simbel to see the temples of Ramses II.
• Lunch.
• Transfer to the airport for a flight back to Cairo.
• Dinner and overnight at the hotel.

Day 9: International Departure from Cairo

• Breakfast at the hotel.
• Transfer to the airport for the flight back to France.
